Jackson Beck

Jackson Beck is a program associate in Vera’s Redefining Public Safety program. Jackson's projects focus on improving responses and promoting community-based care for people with unmet behavioral health needs. This work includes researching civilian crisis response programs and partnering with local practitioners and advocates to drive change. Previously, Jackson coordinated trainings, technical assistance, and resource development for a national initiative dedicated to improving responses to people living with mental illnesses and/or developmental disabilities. Prior to Vera, Jackson assisted the communications team at FAMM (Families Against Mandatory Minimums) in Washington, DC, and supported advocacy to secure greater resources for individuals in recovery with United Strategies in Saint Paul, Minnesota. He holds a BA in political science from Yale University.
